About
Built for one closet, not for everyone's.
Style Buddy started as a manual routine: photograph every item in the closet, describe a style board pinned over months, and ask an assistant to put outfits together by hand each time. It worked, but it was slow — the same wardrobe photos got re-examined for every single question.
What changed
Instead of re-reading the whole closet each time, Style Buddy now looks at a photo or a pin exactly once, writes down what it sees — the color, the fabric, the cut, how formal it is — and reuses that description for every future question. A style board on Pinterest does the same job for taste: it's read once to find the patterns (a preference for rich colors, a particular boot, a mix of relaxed and polished pieces), and those patterns inform everything downstream.
What it's not
This isn't a public app, a subscription, or a data business. It's a household tool built and used by its own developers, with no outside sign-ups. There's no advertising, no data reselling, and no plan to onboard the public without rewriting this page first.
Pinterest, specifically
Style Buddy connects to Pinterest to read a single style board — never to post, comment, follow, or modify anything on the account. Full detail on what's requested and why is in the Privacy Policy.
