Privacy Policy

Style Buddy is a personal styling assistant used privately by its developers and their household ("we", "us"). It is not currently offered to the public, and this policy will be revised before that changes.

What we collect

Pinterest data. With your explicit OAuth consent, we read boards and pins — images and their metadata — from a connected Pinterest account, to understand style preferences. We request read-only scopes only:

• boards:read — list and read board details
• pins:read — read pin images and metadata
• user_accounts:read — basic account identification

We never request write access, and we never post, edit, follow, or delete anything on Pinterest on your behalf.

Wardrobe data. Photos of clothing items you choose to upload, and the attributes we derive from them (category, color, texture, silhouette, and similar descriptive facts).

Profile data. Style preferences, sizing information, and lifestyle answers provided during onboarding, used only to tailor recommendations.

How we use it

Data is used solely to generate styling recommendations: outfit suggestions, purchase advice, and wardrobe gap analysis. Each image is analyzed once, at the time it's added, to extract descriptive attributes; every recommendation after that runs on the stored attributes rather than re-analyzing the image.

Storage and sharing

Data is stored in a private database accessible only to the account holder. We do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising. Image and text analysis is performed through the Anthropic API, which is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.

Tokens and account access

Pinterest access and refresh tokens are stored only to keep your connection active between visits and are never exposed outside the app. You can revoke access at any time from Pinterest's own account settings, which immediately invalidates our tokens.

Your choices

• Disconnect Pinterest at any time by revoking the app's access in your Pinterest settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of all data we hold about you at any time — see Contact below.

Changes to this policy

If Style Buddy is ever opened up beyond its current household use, this policy will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date above.
